Andy Griffith died today at the age of 86. While I’m certain he’ll be best remembered for “The Andy Griffith Show” and “Matlock”, I’ll always remember him for the 1979 TV movie and series “Salvage 1”.

I only remember that because of the shared last name.
I remember the movie, but I didn't remember the TV show. Since both were before my time, it's probably just a matter of which one got more reruns.
Sad to see him go. Remember him from his early TV reruns and Salvage 1.
HA. And S-1 also had 'Chris Brooks Foster' from the CBS soap The Young and the Restless! What? Nobody else watched that? 🙂
I remember the S-1 movie AND the series. Heck, I even kitbashed a model of the 'Vulture' from an old fuel tanker toy and some other bitz.
It was elegant for a 70's show from a more 'civilized age'. 🙂
