Community Greyhawk – The Greyhawk Journal #1

Today we look at the first issue of The Greyhawk Journal, a free fan-zine with an impressive roster of contributors. This successor to the Grey Grimoire is edited by Samuel Weiss, it’s 62 pages long, has 8 articles (two of which are large, multi-part treatments of the village of Magepoint and a three-part adventure), with plenty of color artwork and maps inside. The list of contributors is a veritable who’s who of Greyhawk fandom, from Troy Alleman to Allan Grohe to Roger E Moore, and many more. My favorite article is “The Floating Worlds of Oerth” by Roger E Moore (a name that should be well familiar to any old school D&D fan), which describes the terakolossans, immense living islands with demigod-like powers that are often mistaken for ordinary islands. Great stuff.

The zine is free, and you can download it here.
