Today we have another short adventure from a familiar name; The Hunt for Malfera by David Quadrini. It’s a 4 5 page pdf (including cover and a page of legal stuff and art credits, so 3 pages in reality), for 4th level characters. It’s basically a monster hunt, and it works well enough, although it makes reference to “the woods and wilderness just outside the City” when there aren’t any woods, but that’s more of a quibble. What really jazzed me about this adventure is the wilderness map, which is a zoomed in section of a map from 1864 around New York! It works perfectly, and now I want to start looking for old maps that can be repurposed. Excellent.
It’s only 50 cents, so there’s really no reason not to spring for it, if for no other reason than to get inspiration from that map. You can buy it here.
