Neil Armstrong, the first human being to walk on the surface of the moon, died today at the age of 82. He had served in both the Gemini and Apollo space programs, and was an inspiration to an entire generation of young Americans who would be fascinated with the idea of space travel and the colonization of other worlds.

Honor his example of service, accomplishment and modesty, and the next time you walk outside on a clear night and see the moon smiling down at you, think of Neil Armstrong and give him a wink.”
How long will it be until we live in age when no living soul on Earth has set foot on another world? Very sad times.

That breaks it down pretty easily. Sad to say my sons will never get to meet any the pioneers of air or space.
A sad day. I'll be blessed to see Mars tackled someday, but really, I'd take a new moon landing any time. Even if it weren't an American.
