So, inspired as I was by Erik Tenkar’s recent YouTube video on how he uses his blog compared to his channel, and bemoaning the amount of time it takes for me to put together my Greyhawk community content videos, I’ve decided to start a series here on the blog side to cover things that the Greyhawk fan community publishes, both on DMs Guild and elsewhere.
This post will just be a catch-up for a couple of the most notable books, but I hope to make it a more regular feature going forward.

First up, we have Dyvers, City of Sails by DMs Tavern. This is a 68 page sourcebook for Greyhawk’s great city-state rival to the west, and includes info on the region around the city, the city itself, religion, military, and some new spells and magic items, plus two new character backgrounds. All of the mechanics are for 5E (as they must be to be published on DMs Guild) but there’s a ton of setting info that could be used with any system. $17 is a bit much for a 68 page pdf, but it is good stuff.

Next, there’s the Greyhawk Expanded Prelacy of Almor region guide by K. Scott Agnew. Set in CY576, this 122 page sourcebook gives us a great pre-Wars look at Almor, and even invites us to imaging “Must Almor fall?” There’s an overview of the geography and political/religious organization, including a mini gazetteer, a section on religion in Almor (a vital piece, since it’s a clerical state), and info on running a campaign in Almor. I’m glad that the eastern Flanaess is getting some more attention, and at $12.95 for 122 pages, it’s a better bargain than the Dyvers book, but some might not be so keen on the goal of “reimagining elements to resonate with modern cultural values.” Still, there’s much to use regardless of system.

Next, there’s L2 The Assassin’s Knot by Ernie Noa, a 5E conversion guide for the classic module by Len Lakofka, with new digital maps and battlemaps. I’m frankly amazed we haven’t seen more of these types of classic module conversions. At $3.95 for a 26 page pdf, the price is right.

Next up, we have A Shadow Over Orlane by Christopher Hamwell. A new adventure set in the village first introduced in the classic adventure N1 Against the Cult of the Reptile God, this 41 page adventure is a nice use of the classic location. Is there a connection with this adventure and N1? Your players will discover the truth. And $3.95 for a 41 page pdf is a nice value.
