Christopher Hamwell is back with another adventure, The Nullspire of Keraptis. This adventure has a very cool hook; the PCs start dead, and are being used as tools/agents by Nerull, the god of Death (there is a hook in the adventure to get them involved if there hasn’t been a convenient TPK recently).
The adventure itself is very well-done. The goal is to defeat the wizard Keraptis (the same one from White Plume Mountain), who is in the Nullspire, which is impervious to gods, but not to mortals. Hence the need to involve the PCs. There are some new monsters, and I question the need to invent yet another new type of small evil humanoid associated with rats – but that’s more of a quibble, and if I run this, the Gristlings will definitely be Xvarts with the same stats.
The book is 25 pages, and beautifully illustrated, with several maps by Dyson Logos. The art looks like AI, but there’s an artist listed, and no word either way in the description. The book itself has no credits. It’s 25 pages long, and only $1.95. For something this interesting (with a great concept), it’s worth the price of admission. You can get it here.
